1 - William Howard Taft threw out the first ball at a Washington Senators’ game in April, 1910.
2 - In 1969 at Montreal’s Jarry Park, the expansion Expos beat the Cardinals, 8-7.
3 - Bob Feller of Cleveland blanked the White Sox on opening day in 1940.
4 - WGN-TV in Chicago showed an exhibition game at Wrigley Field between the Cubs and White Sox in April, 1948.
